Find these steps – Between 47 and 49 Tannadyce Street, and between 26 and 28 Elphinstone Avenue, Strathmore Park.

These impressive steps just appear as you walk along Tannadyce Street – something of a surprise.
Strathmore Park, again as noted in the incredible work of Ms Irvine-Smith, commemorates the visit in 1927 of George V when he was Duke of York. It is named for for the Earl of Strathmore, the Queen Elizabeth’s father. Her sister married the 16th Baron Elphinstonem and the third Earl, previous to her father, became Baron Tannadyce. Easy if you have graph paper on hand.

Over this hill and then down the steps.
A line of garages on Karepa Road looking very much like boat sheds.
And looking down from Karepa Road.
Prints left by a dog long ago.
A shed along the way with added value of decoration.
And looking out toward Wellington Harbour on an interesting weather day.
