This lovely little walk street is a dead end but fun all the same. Ms Irvine-Smith doesn’t list it in her book, and nothing appears in a search for its history. One curiosity is the half-painted steps – white along the edge of only one side of the steps.
A generous land owner at the dead end will allow access all the way down to the sea either by their cable car or walking through their bush track. Ask for prior permission by calling 027 210 3020.
